What's on a certificate

How to read the document

A certificate that only reports a purity percentage is telling you a fraction of the story. Ours carry six sections.

IdentityMass-spec confirmation against theoretical MW
PurityRP-HPLC area percent, in-house and third-party
Net contentPeptide content by nitrogen analysis, salt-corrected
WaterKarl Fischer titration
ContaminantsEndotoxin (LAL), residual solvent (GC), heavy metals (ICP-MS)

Handling documentation

Each compound has a GHS-format safety data sheet covering hazard identification, first-aid measures, handling and storage, exposure controls, physical properties, stability, and disposal.

Read before handling

Lyophilized peptides are fine powders that can become airborne when a vial is opened. Handle in a fume hood or biosafety cabinet, wear nitrile gloves and eye protection, and avoid generating dust. Consult the SDS for the specific compound before first use.
